Introduction Course

  • The introduction course helps you work out if we are the right program for you.
  • It also helps us work out if we feel we are best positioned to support you.
  • It means every dog entering the assistance dog program has the same foundation in training.
  • You can do the introduction course either self guided or via zoom sessions.
  • Please only book onto the zoom version if needed due to your disability as dates and spaces are limited.

Self guided introduction course

  • The self guided introduction course takes place on circle.
  • Is split into 3 modules.
  • Each module contains a video class of practical dog training, 'how it works' section and dog training theory.
  • At the end of the self guided course, you will need to book a 1:1 virtual interview and a virtual assessment to demonstrate your dog has learnt all the skills covered in the introduction course.

Live introduction course

  • The live introduction course consists of 3 x 40 minute zoom sessions.
  • Each zoom covers the same modules as the self guided introduction course.
  • At the end of the final zoom, you will need to book a 1:1 virtual interview and a zoom assessment to demonstrate your dog has learnt all the skills covered in the introduction course.
