Muzzles and muzzle training

All dogs on our assistance dog program must have an appropriately fitting muzzle which is taken with them in public at all times. Muzzles should be fitted so your dog has enough space to freely pant & your dogs nose should be near the end but NOT touching it. The material used should be bite proof (not all muzzles are, some are designed to prevent scavenging). We recommend buying a muzzle at a shop and taking your dog to try it out. Otherwise, if you're ordering online, check out the suppliers website on how to measure for that specific muzzle.
