Bed based supportive paws short course

This program is designed for children & young people who spend prolonged periods in either their bed/ chair.

This includes teaching the young person to teach their pet dog to:

• Find and indicate to/ pass items to a parent/carer.
• Deep pressure therapy.
• Fetch named items.
• Play enrichment games which the young person can do from their bed. 

Maximum 6 families.

This program is set on zoom and participants can engage in a way that works for them such as with webcam off, watching the session then trying the activities outside of the session or trying the activities during the sessions on or off webcam. If participants would like feedback on the activities outside of the sessions, parents can reach out via WhatsApp outside of the session.

**Please note this course is NOT to train your dog as an assistance dog. This is purely to help enable young people to train their own dog from their bed.  If you have an assistance dog from another organisation unfortunately we cannot offer you a place on this short course**
